Our guys just recently worked on a quite a bit of home repairs at the house at Cottage Walk Ocean Beach NY 11770. In order to close up the leaky skylight, our pros had our crews up on the roof at about 8:30 in the morning lifting out the old, damaged skylight and ripping away the roof flashing and the asphalt roof shingles in order to nail in new 2×6 roof rafters along the roofline to take care of the roof that was going in the existing skylight’s area. The leaking skylight required to be either resealed or removed because water had been infiltrating into it for years and the client just wanted it deconstructed and covered over with new ‘torch down’ roofing products. After our pros deconstructed the skylight, we then rolled out some affordable, new roofing products and lit the torch and installed the new roofing effortlessly to the current roof. Last, we quickly put new stair tread down on their battered staircase.
Steel Chimney Caps Installed And Crowns
While at the property site, the client noticed that there was also a highly rusted out old furnace chimney cap that needed to be replaced and a new chimney cap installed. One of our experts took out the ladder and travelled all the way up top and took down the rusted chimney cap and replaced it with a brand new stainless steel chimney cap.
Home Dutch And Vinyl Siding Repairs
During a recent harsh storm, the property owner’s deck umbrella had freed up up high in the air and then slammed down against the homeowners brand new Dutch lap vinyl siding our clients had installed just last year. The crash tore an eye-level slit directly into the customer’s often durable new siding. The client was not happy with the noticeable hole in the brand-new siding – to say the least. So, while we were there our roofers were able to locate replacement pieces to fix the vinyl siding‘s problematic spot. We were also able to fix some additional pieces that had also become moved.
The customer also put in a personal request for 1 of our craftsmen to attach a flag pole out front – on the house itself – through the new vinyl siding – but without cracking the vinyl siding. 1 of our experts was able to remove a lone piece of the house’s exterior front siding and slide a thin wooden brace behind the siding to give the flag pole something tough to attach itself into.

So, in the end, we had a group of 5 techs who arrived early on a Saturday (around 8:30) then worked all day – through the extreme July heat – mostly on a 130 degree roof – in the hot sun – until about 3 o’clock and finished 8 separate tasks for the customer. Our technicians then cleaned up all the garbage, blew out all of the dust and vacuumed the spots we worked in and called it a day.
